Powerex is the wholly owned energy marketing and trading subsidiary of BC Hydro, a Crown Corporation of the province of British Columbia. BC Hydro's provincially guaranteed debt has a credit rating through the Province of AA- from S&P Global Ratings, Aaa from Moody's Investor Services, Inc., and AA (high) from DBRS Morningstar.
Powerex has strict credit risk management processes and practices in place to protect both the company and our customers.
All Powerex’s income is consolidated with BC Hydro’s, and our financial and operating results can be found in BC Hydro’s annual reports.
